Sim Racing Event Setup Cost in Malaysia (2026 Guide)

If you're budgeting an event in Malaysia and someone suggests "get a racing simulator," the first question is always the same: what does that actually cost?
Here are real numbers, from a team that has delivered 100+ events across Sabah.
The short answer
- 1 professional rig: from RM1,000 per day
- 2 rigs: from RM1,900 per day (head-to-head racing, better crowd energy)
- 3 rigs: from RM2,700 per day (tournament-capable)
- 3+ day events: special rates apply, ask for a bundle
Rentals without full event support start lower, from RM500 per set per day.
What you're actually paying for
A cheap rig in a corner is not an event. A professional setup includes:
- The hardware: force-feedback wheel, pedals, racing seat, monitor, all tuned before doors open.
- Delivery, setup and teardown: we arrive hours early; you never touch a cable.
- Trained crew: someone guides every guest, keeps the queue moving and resets between drivers. This is the difference between a booth people try and a booth people remember.
- Leaderboard software: a live time attack board turns casual walk-ups into competitors who come back three times to defend P1.
What moves the price up or down
- Rig count. Per-rig cost drops as you add rigs, which is why 2-3 rigs is the sweet spot for malls and roadshows.
- Duration. Multi-day events get better daily rates.
- Location. We cover all of Sabah. Kota Kinabalu is home base; Sandakan, Tawau and Keningau include transport in the quote.
- Add-ons. Live streaming with casters, PS5 side-stations, PSVR2 experiences, or full tournament management with brackets and prizes.
Real-world example
At Minggu Perpaduan 2026 in Likas, our Gran Turismo 7 Time Attack ran for four straight days with a live leaderboard. Daily winners were announced publicly, and the same faces kept returning to beat the time. That is what a leaderboard does to foot traffic.

Ballparks are useful; quotes are better. Use the Build Your Event tool to pick your rigs, days and add-ons, and it opens a WhatsApp message with everything pre-filled. We usually reply the same day.
