FAQ

Is this tournament bracket generator free?

Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs in your browser. Your names are not uploaded or stored on a server.

How does the bracket handle an uneven number of players?

Single elimination fills the bracket to the next power of two. The top seeds get byes into round two, so 6 players means seeds 1 and 2 skip the first round and seeds 3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5 play.

Can I add a 3rd place match?

Yes. Tick the 3rd place option with 4 or more players. The two semi-final losers drop into a separate 3rd place match, and the final standings show places 1 to 4.

How do I share or save my bracket?

Press Copy share link. The whole bracket, including results so far, is packed into the link, so anyone who opens it sees the same bracket. You can also print it or save it as a PDF from the print dialog.

What is the difference between single elimination and round robin?

In single elimination one loss knocks you out, so it is fast. In round robin everyone plays everyone and a points table (3 for a win, 1 for a draw) decides the ranking, so it is fairer but takes longer.
